Word describes the source of our mutual learning. Sunday morning teaching and reflection input aims to be a thought-provoking drawing from biblical themes. The Cell aims to be the place where the application to real life is worked through together. What does faith look like in the everyday world? How do I make sense of what God wants for my life and our community? It’s about making connections, facing failures honestly and seeking out a pathway that can be lived consistently.
Witness is what we call that part of our life that aims to make connections with every other sphere of our influence. Its making sure that we’re not huddled away doing our own thing without reference to the wider world of our families, our neighbourhoods and work-places.
If that all sounds rather grand, it’s because we need a set of aspirations! Much of the time we’re coping with life. We’re sharing together the down to earth practicality of good days and bad, of strained relationships and work pressures. Mostly we are a bunch of people who really don’t want to play church, but who really do want something better than a secular, individualist, consumerist culture for us and our families.
