Playing our part in the Christian Church across Thanet. Belonging to the Church of England, Canterbury Diocese.
HARVEST is one of the new generation of simple structure churches. Looking to resource and support one another in living out a faith that makes a difference. Its what is now being called a Fresh Expression!
HARVEST came into being September 1998. It was a ground-breaking venture setting up within the Church of England. Based on a network of small home-based Cell Groups, with no geographical Parish or formal Church building. We set off pretty much without precedent. Now we find ourselves part of a world-wide conversation, usually described as “Emerging Church”. More on the HARVEST story…
The HARVEST House Style - What do HARVEST members actually believe? A very wide range indeed. We don’t have a formal statement of faith. We aim to be Jesus centred, but then Jesus often avoided giving simple answers to complex questions! There’s always more to be discovered. There’s usually more than one way of looking at it! We hold regular “Think Again!” evenings specifically for people wanting to come at life issues without any preconceived ideas. For more details and an Invitation to the next event click here.
